New brewery under construction in Powhatan
Jason Miller and Tim Torrez are working to open Crazy Rooster Brewing Co. at 1560 Oakbridge Drive in Powhatan. The duo signed a lease for the space in May, but waited to secure funding and other details before going public with their plans. They hope to open in late 2019 or early 2020.

Local company headquarters to relocate in Powhatan
Classic Granite & Marble, a natural stone fabrication and installation company, plans to build a new headquarters in Powhatan County, according to a news release from Glen Allen-based Commonwealth Commercial Partners.

Powhatan Business accepted into VALET Program
Powhatan business gets accepted in the Virginia Economic Development Partnership VALET program. Through the Powhatan County Economic Development department, Fortune Auto North America was referred to the state VITAL program with VEDP to help the company with research into international markets for trade.
